Tuesday, August 25th 7:00PM CDT  Why The MySpace Generation Will Have The Hardest Time Filling Retiring "Baby Boomer's" Shoes?

Attend this important online/virtual webinar from the comfort of your home or office. This webinar is a follow up to last months webinar entitled "How Will Your Company Survive the "Baby Boomer" Exit?  Many companies spend millions of dollars trying to attract the best and the brightest younger workers, but only few take the time to understand just how young workers think and work. MySpacers, for example, have grown up using "Google," where information can be obtained instantaneously with a click of a mouse. Unfortunately in many organizations, meaningful information is not always easily accessible, and quite often people that have the right information are very protective of it and are frequently not to willing to share it. Unlike the often under appreciated "boomers" who had too many financial obligations to just quit their job, MySpacers have a tendency to job hop if they find the corporate culture too restrictive. In contrast to "boomers" who could have care less if they received a "pat on the back," MySpacers seek constant affirmation. Retiring "boomers" may have waited a decade for a promotion, but younger workers quickly want to assume increasing levels of responsibilities. Therefore, the only way for companies to reap their investment on younger workers is to make sure that they have access to the right information and people and take additional steps to ensure that the work they perform is purposeful and meaningful. Find out how your company can attract, engage and retain younger workers. Learn new ways to make every employees work purposeful and meaningful. And, most importantly, find out what your organization can do NOW before the "boomers" retire and MySpacers are hired.

July 2009
Wednesday, July 22nd 7:00PM CDT  How Will Your Company Survive the "Baby Boomer" Exit?

Attend this important online/virtual webinar from the comfort of your home or office. It is estimated that 78 million baby-boomers will be retiring in the next 5-7 years and very few organizations have made an effort to document the "tribal-knowledge" that boomers will be taking with them into retirement. This "tribal-knowledge" consists of "how-tos, "lessons learned" and the "best practices" that are associated with the "boomers" present and past job roles. Although wikis, intranets and document management systems may allow an employee to retrieve information, few systems help new employee to tell how that information they retrieve helps them perform their job and how their job affects the overall organization. Because information must be linked together in a logical and meaningful fashion, intranets, blogs and wikis may just not cut it. If your a business leader cringing at the thought of replacing a "boomer" with a MySpacer, you must attend this MeetUp.
